What Makes Elasticizer Different?
Most other masks are ‘leave-in’ meaning the product sits on the hair and can weigh it down over the course of the day. As a pre-shampoo treatment, Elasticizer is absorbed into the hair, while the residue is then washed away.
Elastin is a flexible protein naturally found in the building blocks of the hair.
It is what gives hair an elastic effect to help strands stretch without breaking when under tension, creating stronger hair and reducing breakage.
When using ‘neat’ oil directly on hair, it can create a barrier that will prevent active ingredients from being absorbed. Our emulsified oil blend of castor and olive allows Elasticizer to provide the benefits of oil, such as incredible shine and moisture, while also allowing our active ingredients to penetrate and strengthen the hair.
This unique formula is still used as part of the hair treatments received by every Client who visits our award-winning Clinics in London and New York.

Our tip is to start with a small amount and add more if you need it. If you feel the Elasticizer is really sinking in and visibly disappearing, then keep applying more until your hair feels slippery and covered. You can’t use too much! Your hair will only absorb as much as it needs, and you’ll be shampooing away any excess. The more out-of-condition and dry your hair is, the more Elasticizer it will drink in.
You can! If you are someone who prefers to shampoo in the morning, then you might find it is more convenient to apply Elasticizer before bed. It’s a good idea to wrap your hair in a microfibre turban overnight to keep it nice and secure. Then rinse well, shampoo and condition as normal the next day. If you have fine hair, shampoo twice.
