WIGS

The psychological effect of wearing a wig can be enormous. They can be excellent moral boosters during chemotherapy and also for those with alopecia areata or extensive hair loss. Wigs can also be worn for fun or as a way to try out a new look, or for religious reasons. A good wig can be almost undetected.

It’s the bad ones that give wearing a wig such a poor reputation. Some wigs are secured with attachments that pull on your hair. It’s best to avoid these as they can cause traction hair loss and hair breakage. Also, it’s important to remember that you still need to take care of your scalp and hair, even though they are not seen.

The warmth under a wig provides the perfect environment for bacteria to grow, making a flaky and itchy scalp more likely. Be sure to shampoo and condition your hair daily to keep your hair and scalp clean, healthy and flake-free.
