Elasticizer, our iconic pre-shampoo conditioning mask, is the most versatile of hair treatments. It’s the easiest way to get softer, bouncier, shinier hair. Whether you have an hour to let it work its magic, or just a few minutes, here are our top tips for getting the most out of yours. You can apply it and let it get to work for twenty minutes (or even just 3 minutes if that’s all you’ve got) while you get on with painting your nails, reading a few chapters of a page-turner or watching the latest boxset. It’s the multitasking mask that allows you to do some of your own multitasking. So whether you leave it in when you sleep or use a small amount for styling, it’s the easiest way to get shiny, manageable hair with beautiful bounce.

Is there a correct way to use Elasticizer?

There is no “correct” way as it is brimming with healthy oils that treat the hair almost immediately but if you have time, our much adored pre-shampoo conditioning treatment is best applied before a regular hair wash for 20-30 minutes.

Elasticizer works best on damp hair and so you can either put your hairbrush under the tap and brush it through, use a water spritzing bottle or simply pop your head under the shower for a second. Don’t have the hair dripping wet, squeeze any excess water out.

Start applying your Elasticizer mid lengths to the ends. This is the older, more out of condition therefore dryer part of your hair. You can apply up to the root area if your hair is coloured or you really feel it needs it. Pop on a shower cap or wrap your hair in a warm towel and leave for 20-30 minutes.

Help! I don’t have time 20 minutes to spare for a hair mask. Can I still use Elasticizer?

Yes! If you’re short on time, then you can you can dogive yourself a really super quick treatment. Elasticizer is brimming with healthy oils that will start to work its their way into your hair shaft after around only 3 minutes. Try  and so if you can do thata quick treatment a few times a week you’ll and you will definitely see the benefits.

It’s a good idea to wrap your hair in a microfibre turban overnight to keep it nice and secure. T then rinse well, shampoo and condition as normal the next day.

How thick should application be? Can I use too much of it?

My tip would be Our tip is to start with a small amount and add more if you need it. If you feel the Elasticizer is really sinking in and visibly disappearing, then keep applying more until your hair feels slippery and covered. You can’t use too much!. Your hair will only absorb as much as it needs, and you’ll be shampooing away any excess. The more out- of- condition and dry your hair is, the more Elasticizer it will drink in.

How often should I use it?

Elasticizer is best used regularly, so most people benefit from using ittreating themselves once to or twice a week. You will see immediate results from the very first use –, but the longer you use it, the better hair will become over time. 

Can I use it Elasticizer instead of conditioner?

Elasticizer is designed to be shampooed away,  and so for most hair types it would beis too heavy to be just simply rinsed awayoff. However, those with very curly hair sometimes feel it works well this waywhen used as a conditioner, and can really tame and smooth frizziness.

Can I use it to style my hair?

Yes! , You can use aa very small amount can be used as a styling or finishing product. Its Elasticizer is great in curly hair and on shorter styles (men’s hair too!), but only a small amount!
